REALTOR® Challenge is an opportunity for Realtors to demonstrate their ability to market and sell L

Chris Chopik – Toronto’s most committed Green Realtor has partnered with Green Building Expert John Godden and Green Builder Lynn Da Pra to bring you REALTOR® Challenge.

REALTOR® Challenge is an opportunity for Realtors to demonstrate their ability to market and sell LEED certified infill homes.

3 LEED Gold infill luxury homes valued at over 1,000,000 each are being sold.
The Realtor® Challenge will bring leading Realtors from the Toronto marketplace to an interview process to decide who will get the listing.
We will be asking interested Realtors to present their value proposition, marketing plan, marketplace understanding and passion for Green Building to help the builder to choose 3 Realtors to list these superior homes.

LEED® Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a building program managed and licensed by the Canadian Green Building Council. http://www.CAGBC.ca

LEED® Gold is a very high standard for green building that incorporates building performance and energy efficiency, healthy indoor air quality, material use, and site management.
“We expect LEED buildings to cost less to operate, offer superior comfort, and a healthy place to live”, Says Green Building Consultant John Godden.

“A LEED home should be valued in line with the market, adjusted to reflect superior quality and lower cost of operation. As an added bonus these houses will have strong and lasting future market viability. As awareness of energy as a second price of any house increases, demand for superior building is also increasing, and I believe that the Realtor® marketplace is very interested in meeting the opportunities of the emerging green building industry“, says Chris Chopik, Green Realtor with Bosley Real Estate.

Lynn Da Pra is a leading Green Builder in an emerging Green Building marketplace. With a university education in economics and a lifetime experience in building, Lynn brings a pragmatic economic outlook to green building. “The consuming public invests in Real Estate as their largest asset. It makes economic sense to build and buy for performance. The incremental cost for green building is absolutely justified against lower cost of operation. The added benefits of future market viability, healthy living, and doing the right ecological thing are creating demand growth in the housing market. The time where the choice was economy or ecology have past, both are important, and Green Building is here to stay.”

This Challenge is open to Toronto Real Estate Board member REALTORS®. Criteria for selection is an assessment of value proposition, marketing plan, marketplace knowledge and experience, passion and commitment to Green Building, and personality fit. If you are interested in being considered for the Realtor Challenge, please send an e-mail with your complete coordinates and interview availability for June 12th between 8:30am and 3pm to RealtorChallenge@GMAIL.com. Interviews will be conducted on June 12th. Contracts will be assigned on June 15th. FAQ and property details will be sent to selected Realtor® Respondents on June 11th at 10:30am.
