Our February event features a very special guest from Edmonton, Godo Stoyke, whose company, Carbon Busters, has been refining and exercising ecological design skills for two decades. As president of Carbon Busters (http://www.carbonbusters.org), he has saved clients over 62 million kilograms of C02 and $21 million in utility bills in North America and Europe. “Godo Stoyke plays the carbon numbers like Mozart played the piano - with joy, inspiration, and accuracy”. Godo is in Toronto for the release of his second book. “The Carbon Buster’s Home Energy Handbook” from New Society Publishers, due Feb. 2007, describes how a typical North American family can save $17,800 in energy costs over five years with an annual rate of return of 32%, cutting carbon emissions by 73% in the process.

December’s GET Smart! with local Chris Chopik and Kate Holloway talking about market transformation in the building sector was a great success with a full house of entrepreneurs, including architects, social marketers and students.

The cost for this event is $10 for GET members & $15 for non-members. There will be a prize draw at the end of the event, for a copy of Godo’s new book. The program will include plenty of time for networking and discussion.
