Earth Hour in Toronto and at the Toronto Real Estate Board

At 8 p.m. this Saturday, millions of people in cities around the world will turn off their lights for Earth Hour - a global lights out initiative led by WWF to show support for action on climate change.

Toronto is the lead Canadian city participating in Earth Hour, and we’re partnering with WWF-Canada, the Toronto Star, and Virgin Mobile to make it a success.

Our goal is to have more than one million residents and businesses participate by turning off non-essential lighting for just one hour. Please join us!

• Sign up and switch off for Earth Hour. Join millions of people around the world and see the difference we can make when we all take action together.

• Join Toronto’s community celebration: Nelly Furtado in concert
Canada’s own Nelly Furtado, multi-platinum Grammy and Juno Award-winner, will perform a free concert at Nathan Phillips Square on March 29 to celebrate Earth Hour. The event, which will be as carbon-neutral as possible, will run from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Join the celebration in the heart of Toronto and see hundreds of buildings in the downtown core - including City Hall - power down for Earth Hour.

• Help spread the word! Please share this email with your friends, family and colleagues and invite them to participate in Earth Hour with you and millions of others around the world.
